Optimization of energy efficiency and reduction of emissions are strategic objectives for most airports. With our innovative product portfolio, which was designed for LED lighting technology, we support those airports in becoming greener and reducing their impact on environment.

LED lights will consume up to 70% less power than halogen or incandescent lights. Also, the lifetime of LED lights is much longer than traditional lights. Not only will these energy efficiencies give financial benefits in the longer term, it also has an impact on an airport’s carbon footprint.

The CEDD® technology enables airports to further reduce their carbon footprint by lowering their energy consumption with another 40% compared to traditional LED lighting installations.

Furthermore, CEDD® is highly suitable for implementing Follow-the-Greens, an innovative guidance system for taxiing aircraft. Implementation of Follow-the-Greens at an airfield means reduced taxi times and movement delay, resulting in reduced fuel burn and CO2 and NOx emissions.
