Revolutionizing AGL at Vienna Airport
Vienna Airport, Austria’s largest aviation hub, has taken a leap toward a greener, smarter and safer future with the implementation of CEDD AGL technology.
In 2024, Vienna Airport completed its first CEDD AGL installation on one of its aprons. After seamless installation by airport technicians and commissioning by the TKH project team, the system now illuminates Pier C31.
Julian Jäger, Joint CEO, stated: “In aviation, safety is always our first priority. We are proud to be one of the first airports worldwide to implement this technology!”
Stefan Hammerl, Project-Manager Airside Infrastructure, said: “The test installation with CEDD AGL technology fits perfectly in our strategy to reduce high voltage serial circuits. The TKH team provided professional support during the installation process.”
Vienna Airport is the largest airport of Austria with 2 runways and 3 terminals. It is the 16th busiest airport in Europe with 29,5 million passengers in 2023.
