Software Dev Manager

When I was younger, I was convinced that I wanted to become an English teacher. However, during my school years, a teacher’s strike made me reconsider my career path and explore other opportunities.

At the time, many of my friends were becoming interested in computers and software, as the technology industry was beginning to grow rapidly. Although I found technology fascinating, I quickly realized that I did not want to become a programmer. Instead, I was drawn to the infrastructure and operational side of technology, which led me to study network management.

While still completing my studies, I began working in systems management. Shortly after graduating, I was offered my first leadership position as a team lead, which marked the beginning of my management career. Over the following years, I moved into technology and service management roles, where I became responsible for operational strategy, vendor management, organizational planning, and people development. I spent more than a decade in these leadership positions, gaining experience in building teams, developing talent, and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.

I was later recruited by JCAII to lead several technical teams, including Software Development, DevOps, and Corporate IT. In addition to managing these teams, I was involved in vendor management and helped support the organization through its acquisition by TKH Airport Solutions.

Today, I serve as Software Development Manager at TKH Airport Solutions. Although I work closely with software teams, my role is not focused on writing code. Instead, my passion lies in supporting people, developing teams, and creating an environment where individuals can perform at their best. Over time, I have come to love my profession because of the people aspect of leadership. I enjoy helping others grow, overcome challenges, and reach their potential while also contributing to the organization’s goals and success.

What I enjoy most about my job is bringing out the best in others and supporting their professional development. I also enjoy solving complex problems and breaking large challenges into smaller, manageable steps. This approach makes coaching and mentoring especially rewarding because it allows people to see how small actions can lead to significant results.

What makes TKH Airport Solutions unique to me is the relationships I have built with my colleagues over the years. I feel comfortable being honest and transparent, and I know that my opinions and perspectives are valued. Even when we are working across different time zones or under significant pressure, there is always space for open communication, mutual respect, and meaningful collaboration.
