TKH Airport Solutions is giving me the responsibility and freedom that I need to get satisfaction from my work.

Coen Hobert
Project Engineer

After completing my study Mechatronics at Saxion Hogeschool Enschede, I worked at an engineering company for a few years. Because of my educational background, I searched for a broader job profile, and after reading the job description of Project Engineer at TKH Airport Solutions I became very enthusiastic. Especially working with the innovative CEDD® technology for airfield ground lighting triggered me.

Within TKH Airport Solutions my role is quite broad and diverse. I try to enlarge my contribution to the projects as much as possible. In my day-to-day role I support installation of our CEDD® systems, and I ensure that every part functions as it should. Also, I work on process and product improvements, monitoring if all steps of the project process are followed in the right way. Every day is different and that is what I like about the job.

My knowledge on the products and our technology was expanding quickly. After I started work, my manager involved me in the Lelystad Airport project. Especially the first time it was quite intense and very educational. But this made me feel more comfortable in my position. Occasionally difficult questions arose from the field and I saw how knowledge is shared within TKH Airport Solutions to come to a quick solution. I quickly felt at home in the dynamic and driven culture that was noticeable from day one.

TKH Airport Solutions is giving me the responsibility and freedom that I need in order to get satisfaction from my work. Also, the company gives opportunities for personal development, such as following a training, course, education or traineeship. For example, I have followed a 1.5-year traineeship which helped me to grow my management and leadership skills. The pleasant cooperation and atmosphere within TKH Airport Solutions are the driving forces for me to get the best out of myself.
