Engineering is a very broad field, and there is a place for anyone who is curious, motivated and proud of their interests.

Anton Zubovskyi
Project Engineer

Ever since I was young, I have had a strong interest in technology, planes and the aviation industry. That interest eventually led me to the Netherlands, where I found many opportunities to study technical subjects in English and further develop my engineering skills.

During my studies, I discovered that I enjoy projects where I can contribute in different ways rather than focusing on only one aspect. That is something I also value in my current role as Project Engineer within the Project and Development team at TKH Airport Solutions. My work combines design, technical documentation, simulations, communication with colleagues and customers, as well as hands-on and on-site activities.

As a Project Engineer, I work on designing solutions for airport projects and preparing the additional documentation and schematics required by our customers. Depending on the project, my work can also involve supporting sales documentation, reviewing technical details with the team and travelling to airports for supervision and service activities. More recently, I have been developing further towards service and commissioning work.

What attracted me to TKH Airport Solutions was the match between my interests and the way the company approaches its work. From my first conversations with the team, I felt that we shared a similar view on how work should be organised and approached. The variety within the role also gave me the opportunity to combine my technical background with my interest in aviation.

One experience I am particularly proud of was a recent project visit to Baku, where I spent almost two weeks on site. My role was to supervise the process and check whether the different installation steps were being carried out correctly and according to our expectations. Having the time and responsibility to investigate technical topics independently made the experience especially valuable.

For students or young professionals considering a career in engineering, my advice would be to be proud of your interests and continue developing them. Engineering is an extremely broad field, and the more experience I gain, the more I realise how many different directions it can offer. There is a place for people who are genuinely curious, motivated and willing to share their interest with others.
